Robert A. "Bob" Hoover
(Jan 24, 1922 - Oct 25, 2016)

Bob Hoover was an air show pilot, United States Air Force test pilot, and fighter pilot. Known as the “pilot’s pilot,” Hoover revolutionized modern aerobatic flying and has been referred to in many aviation circles as one of the greatest pilots ever to have lived.

But, even more than that, he was an incredible man – a Legendary Gentleman who valued education, mental prowess, patriotism, humility, optimism, reverence for the sky, dignity and tenacity. He is an ideal role model for the students.

It was for those reasons that, a few months before his passing, we asked Bob if we could name our non-profit the Bob Hoover Academy to memorialize his legacy. Bob enthusiastically gave us his blessing. It is an honor to carry on his memory.
